Special District Local Laws Code § 1063.104","heading":"HEALTH CARE OR HOSPITAL SYSTEM.","body":"(a) The district shall provide for:\n(1) the establishment of a health care or hospital system by:\n(A) purchasing, constructing, acquiring, repairing, or renovating buildings and equipment; and\n(B) equipping the buildings; and\n(2) the administration of the system for health care or hospital purposes.\n(b) The health care or hospital system may include:\n(1) domiciliary care and treatment of the sick, injured, or geriatric;\n(2) hospitals;\n(3) outpatient clinics;\n(4) dispensaries;\n(5) convalescent home facilities;\n(6) necessary nurses;\n(7) domiciliaries and training centers;\n(8) blood banks;\n(9) community mental health centers;\n(10) research centers or laboratories;\n(11) ambulance services; and\n(12) any other facilities the board considers necessary for health or hospital care.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
