Special District Local Laws Code § 1064.053","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a district resident; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) Except as provided by Section 1064.052(a)(2), a person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) a district administrator;\n(2) a district employee; or\n(3) a member of the medical staff.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
