Special District Local Laws Code § 1069.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be eligible to be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A director elected or appointed to represent a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.\n(c) A district employee may not serve as a director.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
