Special District Local Laws Code § 1069.253","heading":"GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION.","body":"(a) The district may issue general obligation bonds only if the bonds are authorized by a majority of the district voters voting at an election held for that purpose.\n(b) The order calling a bond election shall provide for clerks as in county elections and must specify:\n(1) the date of the election;\n(2) the location of the polling places;\n(3) the presiding and alternate election judges for each polling place;\n(4) the amount of the bonds to be authorized;\n(5) the maximum interest rate of the bonds; and\n(6) the maximum maturity of the bonds.\n(c) Notice of a bond election shall be given as provided by Section 1251.003, Government Code.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
