Special District Local Laws Code § 1070.066","heading":"LIABILITY INSURANCE; INDEMNIFICATION.","body":"(a) The board may defend or indemnify an officer, director, board appointee, medical staff member, or district employee against or from a claim, expense, or liability arising from duties performed in that capacity, including a duty performed at a district facility.\n(b) The board may purchase and maintain liability insurance coverage or establish a self-insurance program to fund an indemnity obligation under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.02, eff.
