Special District Local Laws Code § 1072.027","heading":"PROCEDURE FOR ELECTION OF PERMANENT DIRECTORS.","body":"Not later than the date the terms of the initial elected directors expire, the initial elected board shall adopt a procedure for the election of directors under Section 1072.051. The procedure must provide for appropriate representation of the residents of the district and must provide for the first election of permanent directors to occur on the first uniform election date in May that occurs at the end of the initial directors' terms.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 876 (S.B. 2517), Sec. 3.01, eff.
