Special District Local Laws Code § 1074.104","heading":"HOSPITAL SYSTEM.","body":"(a) The district shall provide for:\n(1) the establishment of a hospital system by:\n(A) purchasing, constructing, acquiring, repairing, or renovating buildings and equipment; and\n(B) equipping the buildings; and\n(2) the administration of the district for hospital purposes.\n(b) The hospital system may include:\n(1) domiciliary care and treatment of the sick, injured, or geriatric;\n(2) outpatient clinics;\n(3) dispensaries;\n(4) convalescent home facilities;\n(5) necessary nurses;\n(6) domiciliaries and training centers;\n(7) blood banks;\n(8) community mental health centers;\n(9) research centers;\n(10) laboratories; and\n(11) any other facilities the board considers necessary for hospital care.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
