Special District Local Laws Code § 1074.205","heading":"BOND ELECTION.","body":"(a) The district may issue bonds, other than refunding bonds, to be wholly or partly secured by an ad valorem tax only if the bonds are authorized by a majority of the district voters at an election that is held in the district.\n(b) The bond election order must specify:\n(1) the nature and date of the election;\n(2) the location of the polling places;\n(3) the hours during which the polls will be open;\n(4) the amount of the bonds to be authorized; and\n(5) the maximum maturity of the bonds.\n(c) Notice of a bond election shall be given as provided by Section 1251.003, Government Code.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
