Special District Local Laws Code § 1087.254","heading":"ELECTION FOR SEPARATE TAX ASSESSOR AND SEPARATE TAX COLLECTOR.","body":"(a) On receipt of a petition signed by at least five percent of the taxpaying voters in the district, the court may order an election to determine whether the district shall have a separate tax assessor and separate tax collector for the assessment and collection of district taxes.\n(b) Notice of the election shall be given as required by Section 1087.052.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
