Special District Local Laws Code § 1087.255","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF SEPARATE TAX ASSESSOR AND SEPARATE TAX COLLECTOR.","body":"If the appointment of a separate tax assessor and separate tax collector is approved by a two-thirds majority vote of the district voters voting at an election held under Section 1087.254, the board shall appoint:\n(1) a suitable person as tax assessor; and\n(2) a suitable person as tax collector.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
