Special District Local Laws Code § 1091.203","heading":"GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION.","body":"(a) The district may issue general obligation bonds only if the bonds are authorized by a majority of the district voters voting at an election held for that purpose.\n(b) The board may order a bond election. The order calling the election must specify:\n(1) the nature and date of the election;\n(2) the hours during which the polls will be open;\n(3) the location of the polling places;\n(4) the amount of the bonds to be authorized; and\n(5) the maximum maturity of the bonds.\n(c) Notice of a bond election shall be given as provided by Section 1251.003, Government Code.\n(d) The board shall declare the results of the election.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
