Special District Local Laws Code § 1093.104","heading":"HOSPITAL SYSTEM.","body":"(a) The district shall provide for the establishment of a hospital system by:\n(1) purchasing, constructing, acquiring, repairing, or renovating buildings and equipment;\n(2) equipping the buildings; and\n(3) administering the buildings and equipment for hospital purposes.\n(b) The hospital system may include:\n(1) facilities for domiciliary care of the sick, injured, or geriatric;\n(2) facilities for outpatient clinics;\n(3) dispensaries;\n(4) convalescent home facilities;\n(5) necessary nurses' domiciliaries and training centers;\n(6) blood banks;\n(7) community mental health centers;\n(8) research centers or laboratories; and\n(9) any other facilities the board considers necessary for hospital care.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
