Special District Local Laws Code § 11003.106","heading":"OFFICERS AND ASSISTANTS.","body":"(a) The board shall elect a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer at the first meeting of the board in March of each year or at any time necessary to fill a vacancy.\n(b) The board shall elect the president and vice president from among the directors. The president shall serve for a term of one year.\n(c) The offices of secretary and treasurer:\n(1) may be held by one person; and\n(2) are not required to be held by a director.\n(d) The board may appoint as assistant board secretary one or more persons who are not directors.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.07, eff.
