Special District Local Laws Code § 11006.107","heading":"OFFICERS AND ASSISTANTS.","body":"(a) The board shall elect a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer at the first meeting of the board in April of each year or at any time necessary to fill a vacancy.\n(b) The board shall elect the president and vice president from among the directors.\n(c) The president serves for a one-year term.\n(d) The offices of secretary and treasurer:\n(1) may be held by one person; and\n(2) are not required to be held by a director.\n(e) The board may appoint as assistant board secretary one or more persons who are not directors.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 855 (S.B. 1162), Sec. 1.07, eff.
