Special District Local Laws Code § 1107.053","heading":"BALLOT PETITION.","body":"A person seeking to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for manager must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must:\n(1) be signed by at least 10 registered voters who reside in the district;\n(2) be filed by the deadline imposed by Section 144.005, Election Code; and\n(3) specify the commissioners precinct the candidate seeks to represent or specify that the candidate seeks to represent the district at large.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
