Special District Local Laws Code § 1108.053","heading":"BALLOT PETITION.","body":"A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must:\n(1) be signed by at least 10 voters in the district;\n(2) be filed by the deadline imposed by Section 144.005, Election Code; and\n(3) specify the place for which the person is to be a candidate.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
