Special District Local Laws Code § 1108.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) at least 18 years of age;\n(2) a resident of the district; and\n(3) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person elected or appointed to fill Place 1 or 3 on the board must also be a resident of the portion of Commissioners Precinct 1 or 3, respectively, that lies within the district.\n(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) the district administrator; or\n(2) a district employee.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.01, eff.
