Special District Local Laws Code § 1110.052","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment or election;\n(2) a resident of the district; and\n(3) a qualified voter.\n(b) A director who represents a county commissioners precinct must be a resident of that precinct.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
