Special District Local Laws Code § 1114.053","heading":"BALLOT PETITION.","body":"A person who wants to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file with the board secretary a petition requesting that action. The petition must:\n(1) be signed by at least 10 registered voters;\n(2) be filed by the deadline imposed by Section 144.005, Election Code; and\n(3) specify the commissioner precinct the person seeks to represent or specify that the person seeks to represent the district at large.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
