Special District Local Laws Code § 1114.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must be:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) In addition to the qualifications required by Subsection (a), a person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.\n(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) the district administrator;\n(2) a district employee;\n(3) a member of the hospital staff; or\n(4) an employee of a member of the hospital staff.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
