Special District Local Laws Code § 1115.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is:\n(1) a resident of the district; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person is not eligible for election as a director from a commissioners precinct unless the person is a resident of that precinct.\n(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director if the person is:\n(1) the district administrator;\n(2) the district attorney; or\n(3) a district employee.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
