Special District Local Laws Code § 1117.062","heading":"MEDICAL DIRECTOR.","body":"(a) The board shall appoint a medical director.\n(b) To be qualified for appointment as the medical director, a person must:\n(1) be a doctor of medicine; and\n(2) actively practice medicine in the district.\n(c) The medical director is in charge of all matters of a medical nature in the district, subject to any rules adopted by the board.\n(d) The medical director is entitled to:\n(1) attend all meetings of the board; and\n(2) take part in all board discussions.\n(e) The medical director may not vote at a meeting of the board.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
