Special District Local Laws Code § 1117.153","heading":"ELECTION RESULT; EFFECT.","body":"On approval of the annexation by a majority of the voters in the territory proposed to be annexed, the territory:\n(1) becomes a part of the district;\n(2) is liable for the territory's pro rata share of the district's indebtedness; and\n(3) shall impose taxes on property in the district for the payment of the district's debt and obligations.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.01, eff.
