Special District Local Laws Code § 1118.052","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must be:\n(1) a district resident; and\n(2) a qualified voter.\n(b) A person may not serve on the board if the person is:\n(1) a party to a contract with the district to perform services for the district for compensation; or\n(2) a district employee.\n(c) A director is eligible for reelection to the board.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.01, eff.
