Special District Local Laws Code § 21.214","heading":"BIDS ON CONTRACTS FOR PURCHASE OF VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT, AND SUPPLIES OVER $15,000; EXCEPTION.","body":"(a) If the estimated amount of a proposed contract to purchase vehicles, equipment, or supplies is more than $15,000, the board shall ask for competitive bids as provided by Subchapter B, Chapter 271, Local Government Code.\n(b) This section does not apply to:\n(1) the purchase of property from a public agency; or\n(2) a contract for personal or professional services.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.01, eff.
