Special District Local Laws Code § 3503.053","heading":"TERM; SERVICE BY ELECTED OFFICIALS.","body":"(a) Each director serves for a term of two years.\n(b) The board by rule or resolution may:\n(1) provide for the appointment of directors of the board in alternating years; and\n(2) determine the number of directors and the manner of deciding which directors shall be appointed in odd-numbered years and which directors shall be appointed in even-numbered years.\n(c) A director who is also an elected official serves for a term coinciding with the term of the elected office.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.02, eff.
