Special District Local Laws Code § 3804.052","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) The mayor and members of the governing body of the City of Sugar Land shall appoint directors from persons recommended by the board.\n(b) A person may not be appointed to the board if the appointment of that person would result in fewer than two-thirds of the directors owning property in the city of Sugar Land.\n(c) An owner of a tract of land in the district that is 10 or more acres in size may recommend to the board a successor director to fill a position or vacancy on the board unless a director recommended by the current or previous owner of the tract is serving on the board.\nActs 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff.
