Special District Local Laws Code § 3810.052","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) The mayor and members of the governing body of the City of Houston shall appoint directors from persons recommended by the board. A person is appointed if a majority of the members and the mayor vote to appoint the person.\n(b) A person may not be appointed to the board if the appointment of that person would result in fewer than two-thirds of the directors being residents of the city of Houston.\nActs 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff.
