Special District Local Laws Code § 3814.109","heading":"ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.","body":"(a) The district may establish and provide for the administration of one or more programs, including programs to loan or grant public money or provide district personnel or services, to:\n(1) promote state or local economic development; and\n(2) stimulate business and commercial activity in the district.\n(b) For purposes of this section, the district has all of the powers and authority of a municipality under Chapter 380, Local Government Code.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 728 (H.B. 2018), Sec. 18.004(j), eff.
