Special District Local Laws Code § 3847.153","heading":"MAINTENANCE TAX.","body":"(a) If authorized at an election held in accordance with Section 3847.157, the district may impose an annual ad valorem tax on taxable property in the district to:\n(1) maintain and operate the district;\n(2) construct or acquire improvements; or\n(3) provide a service.\n(b) The board shall determine the tax rate.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 572 (H.B. 1458), Sec. 1, eff.
