Special District Local Laws Code § 3849.108","heading":"MEMBERSHIP IN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.","body":"The district may join and pay dues to an organization that:\n(1) enjoys tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3), (4), or (6), Internal Revenue Code of 1986; and\n(2) performs a service or provides an activity consistent with the furtherance of a district purpose.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 949 (H.B. 4004), Sec. 1, eff.
