Special District Local Laws Code § 3860.107","heading":"MEMBERSHIP IN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.","body":"The district may join and pay dues to an organization that:\n(1) is an organization exempt from taxation under Section 501(a), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as an organization described by Section 501(c)(3), (4), or (6) of that code; and\n(2) performs a service or provides an activity consistent with the furtherance of a district purpose.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 968 (H.B. 4134), Sec. 1, eff.
