Special District Local Laws Code § 3869.053","heading":"ELIGIBILITY OF APPOINTED DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) To be qualified to serve as a voting director appointed under Section 3869.052, a person must be at least 18 years old and:\n(1) a resident of the district who is also a registered voter of the district;\n(2) an owner of property in the district;\n(3) an owner of stock, whether beneficial or otherwise, of a corporate owner of property in the district;\n(4) an owner of a beneficial interest in a trust that owns property in the district; or\n(5) an agent, employee, or tenant of a person described by Subdivision (2), (3), or (4).\n(b) Section 49.052, Water Code, does not apply to the district.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 888 (S.B. 2550), Sec. 1, eff.
