Special District Local Laws Code § 3887.054","heading":"ELIGIBILITY.","body":"(a) To serve as a director, a person must be at least 18 years old and be:\n(1) a resident of the district who is also a registered voter of the district;\n(2) an owner of property in the district;\n(3) an owner of stock, whether beneficial or otherwise, of a corporate owner of property in the district;\n(4) an owner of a beneficial interest in a trust that owns property in the district;\n(5) an agent, employee, or tenant of a person covered by Subdivision (2), (3), or (4); or\n(6) an initial director.\n(b) Section 49.052, Water Code, does not apply to the district.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1078 (H.B. 4755), Sec. 1, eff.
