Special District Local Laws Code § 3930.052","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) The mayor and members of the governing body of the city shall appoint directors from persons recommended by the board. A person is appointed if a majority of the members and the mayor vote to appoint that person.\n(b) A person may not be appointed to the board if the appointment of that person would result in fewer than two-thirds of the directors being residents of the city.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 980 (H.B. 3888), Sec. 1, eff.
