Special District Local Laws Code § 4501.103","heading":"COMPETITIVE BIDDING.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), the competitive bidding requirements for a municipality under Chapter 252, Local Government Code, apply to the authority.\n(b) A contract with a private person under Section 4501.102 or 4501.104(2) is exempt from the competitive bidding requirements of Chapter 252, Local Government Code, or any other statute if the contract:\n(1) is entered into before the effective date of the Act creating this chapter;\n(2) is conditioned on the passage of the Act creating this chapter; and\n(3) is assigned by a party to the contract after the effective date of the Act creating this chapter.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 568 (S.B. 1659), Sec. 1, eff.
