Special District Local Laws Code § 5018.0051","heading":"BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS; TERM; ELECTION.","body":"(a) The district is governed by a board composed of five elected commissioners.\n(b) Commissioners serve staggered four-year terms.\n(c) The district shall hold an election in the district on the uniform election date in May of each even-numbered year to elect commissioners.\n(d) The board has the rights and powers conferred and imposed on navigation and canal commissioners and commissioners courts by Chapter 62, Water Code.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 468 (H.B. 4172), Sec. 1.01, eff.
