Special District Local Laws Code § 5018.0057","heading":"OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES.","body":"(a) As soon as practicable after each election of commissioners, the board shall elect a president, vice president, and secretary and treasurer.\n(b) The board may:\n(1) employ a port director and other officers as required to manage and operate the district and, subject to the board's orders, delegate that authority;\n(2) employ and prescribe the duties of officers, agents, and employees;\n(3) set the compensation of officers, agents, and employees; and\n(4) remove any employee.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 468 (H.B. 4172), Sec. 1.01, eff.
