Special District Local Laws Code § 6604.107","heading":"CONSTRUCTION ON PUBLIC LAND.","body":"(a) The district may construct works, ditches, canals, or other improvements over, across, or along:\n(1) a public stream, road, or highway; or\n(2) land belonging to this state.\n(b) A plan for an improvement under Subsection (a) on a state highway is subject to the approval of the Texas Department of Transportation.\n(c) A plan for an improvement under Subsection (a) on Texas Department of Criminal Justice land is subject to the approval of the Texas Board of Criminal Justice.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.03, eff.
