Special District Local Laws Code § 6902.059","heading":"OFFICERS AND ASSISTANTS.","body":"(a) The board shall elect a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer at the first meeting of the board in March of each year or at any time necessary to fill a vacancy.\n(b) The board shall elect the president and vice president from among the directors. The president and vice president shall serve for terms of one year.\n(c) The offices of secretary and treasurer:\n(1) may be held by one person; and\n(2) are not required to be held by a director.\n(d) The board may appoint as assistant board secretary one or more persons who are not directors.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.06, eff.
