Special District Local Laws Code § 7207.104","heading":"WATER OR SEWER SYSTEM ACQUISITION OR CONSTRUCTION.","body":"(a) In this section, \"system\" means a water system, sewer system, or water and sewer system.\n(b) The district may:\n(1) acquire a system that serves all or part of the territory located inside or outside the district;\n(2) construct a system; or\n(3) improve or extend a system the district acquires.\n(c) A construction contract is governed by the competitive bidding requirements of the Water Code.\n(d) An existing contract for the acquisition of a water or sewer facility may be made on terms agreed to by the parties.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.07, eff.
