Special District Local Laws Code § 7213.003","heading":"CONFIRMATION ELECTION REQUIRED.","body":"If the creation of the district is not confirmed at a confirmation and initial directors' election held before September 1, 2009:\n(1) the district is dissolved on September 1, 2009, except that the district shall:\n(A) pay any debts incurred;\n(B) transfer to Kaufman County any assets of the district that remain after the payment of debts; and\n(C) maintain the organization of the district until all debts are paid and remaining assets are transferred; and\n(2) this chapter expires September 1, 2012.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1000 (S.B. 1942), Sec. 1, eff.
