Special District Local Laws Code § 8048.0601","heading":"MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY.","body":"(a) Notwithstanding any other law, a municipality has exclusive authority in the district to:\n(1) issue building permits and certificates of occupancy;\n(2) enforce the municipality's building codes;\n(3) enforce the municipality's health regulations regarding food establishments, public swimming pools, and standing water; and\n(4) perform an inspection necessary to accomplish the purposes of this subsection.\n(b) A fee for a permit or certificate issued by a municipality for use in the district may not exceed the fees charged for the same permit or certificate issued for use in the corporate limits of the municipality.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 563 (S.B. 2530), Sec. 1, eff.
