Special District Local Laws Code § 8104.152","heading":"POWERS AND DUTIES OF GENERAL MANAGER.","body":"(a) The general manager is the authority's chief executive officer.\n(b) The general manager, under policies established by the board, shall:\n(1) administer the board's directives;\n(2) keep the authority's records, including minutes of board meetings;\n(3) coordinate with state, federal, and local agencies;\n(4) develop plans and programs for the board's approval;\n(5) formulate a budget for the authority's fiscal year, as provided by this chapter, subject to the approval of the board and the Baytown City Council;\n(6) hire, supervise, train, and discharge the authority's employees;\n(7) contract for or retain technical, scientific, legal, fiscal, and other professional services; and\n(8) perform other duties assigned by the board.\n(c) At the board's direction, the general manager may execute a contract, including a construction contract, the board enters into for the authority.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 729 (H.B. 2019), Sec. 1.06, eff.
