Special District Local Laws Code § 8111.109","heading":"ANNEXATION.","body":"A municipality may annex the original district, or a new district that is created as a result of a division of the district under Section 8111.102 or 8111.103, only after:\n(1) the district has installed at least 90 percent of all works, improvements, facilities, plants, equipment, and appliances necessary to:\n(A) provide service to the proposed development in the district;\n(B) accomplish the purposes for which the district was created; and\n(C) exercise the powers provided by general law and this chapter; or\n(2) at least 10 years have elapsed since the creation of the district was confirmed at an election held under Section 8111.023.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 1168 (H.B. 3497), Sec. 1, eff.
