Special District Local Laws Code § 8204.004","heading":"CONFIRMATION ELECTION REQUIRED.","body":"If the creation of the district is not confirmed at a confirmation election held under Section 8204.023 before September 1, 2009:\n(1) the district is dissolved September 1, 2009, except that the district shall:\n(A) pay any debts incurred;\n(B) transfer to San Jacinto County any assets that remain after the payment of debts; and\n(C) maintain the organization of the district until all debts are paid and remaining assets are transferred; and\n(2) this chapter expires September 1, 2012.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 983 (S.B. 1092), Sec. 1, eff.
