Special District Local Laws Code § 8246.153","heading":"MAINTENANCE OF FEDERAL FLOOD CONTROL PROJECTS.","body":"The district is entitled to maintain a flood control project constructed in Lavaca County by the United States if the project:\n(1) extends wholly or partly into the district or is within five miles of the boundaries of the district; and\n(2) is considered by the board to protect property in the district.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.04, eff.
