Special District Local Laws Code § 8282.051","heading":"DISTRICT TERRITORY.","body":"(a) The district is composed of the territory described by Section 5(a), Chapter 935, Acts of the 69th Legislature, Regular Session, 1985, as that territory may have been modified under:\n(1) Subchapter H, Chapter 54, Water Code;\n(2) Subchapter J, Chapter 49, Water Code; or\n(3) other law.\n(b) The boundaries and field notes of the district form a closure. A mistake in copying the field notes in the legislative process or another mistake in the field notes does not affect:\n(1) the district's organization, existence, or validity;\n(2) the district's right or power to issue bonds for the purposes for which the district is created or to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds;\n(3) the district's authority to impose a tax;\n(4) the validity of any contract, agreement, or obligation of the district; or\n(5) the legality of the operations or proceedings of the district or the board.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.04, eff.
