Special District Local Laws Code § 8288.104","heading":"GENERAL POWERS REGARDING GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL.","body":"The district has all rights, powers, and privileges necessary or useful to enable it to provide for garbage collection and disposal in all or part of the district on terms and at rates and charges the board considers just and reasonable to:\n(1) preserve the water of rivers and streams in this state; and\n(2) aid in the preservation and conservation of the natural resources of this state.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.04, eff.
