Special District Local Laws Code § 8506.051","heading":"MEMBERSHIP OF BOARD.","body":"(a) The board consists of nine directors appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.\n(b) Each director must be a resident of and a freehold property taxpayer in this state.\n(c) Each director must be a resident of a county located in the authority's territory. The governor shall attempt to achieve geographic representation throughout the authority in the appointment of directors.\n(d) The governor shall designate a member of the board as the presiding officer of the board to serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the governor.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 855 (S.B. 1162), Sec. 1.05, eff.
